1. Pricing
- We use national average room sizes when calculating quotes over the phone.
- The Company reserves the right to amend the initial quotation if the Client’s original requirements change or following an in-person inspection of the property.
- For bedrooms larger than 20 square metres and living rooms larger than 40 square metres, additional charges will apply.
2. Access
- The Client must provide electricity and running water at the premises. Failure to do so will incur a £50 non-refundable fee.
- The Client is responsible for providing access to the property at the scheduled time. If keys are provided, they must operate all locks without the need for special effort or tools.
- Failure to provide access will result in a £50 non-refundable fee.
3. Payment
- Unless agreed otherwise in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the service or receipt of the invoice.
- The Company reserves the right to cancel any appointments if payment has not been received.
- A £50 non-refundable late payment fee will be charged if payment is not received within 7 days of service completion.
4. Cancellations
- One-off cleaning appointments can be cancelled free of charge if notice is given at least one day in advance.
- Regular service agreements require 4 weeks’ notice for cancellation. Notice will only be accepted if all outstanding invoices have been paid.
- Upon cancellation, the Client agrees not to hire, directly or indirectly, any present or past cleaner introduced by PolishMaids for a minimum of one year.
- If the Client does wish to hire such a cleaner, a referral fee equal to the last 6 months of service must be paid to PolishMaids.
- We reserve the right to refuse any cleaning job if the property is deemed hazardous to the health or safety of our staff.
- PolishMaids4You reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services in the event of accidents or unforeseen circumstances affecting the cleaning team.
- We reserve the right to suspend services until outstanding invoices are paid. In such cases, four weeks' worth of service charges will still apply before services are permanently terminated.
5. Claims
- Refunds will not be issued once the cleaning service has been completed.
- All services are deemed satisfactory unless a written complaint is received within 24 hours of the service. We will investigate and attempt to resolve any issues to a reasonable standard.
- The Client agrees to allow us to re-clean and inspect disputed areas/items before involving third parties.
- If damage is caused by our staff, we will either repair the item or provide a credit equal to its current market value.
- We request that irreplaceable items, whether monetarily or sentimentally valuable, be safely stored prior to cleaning.
- We must be granted access to the property within 24 hours to address any damage-related claims.
- We are not liable for:
- Damage caused by placing furniture on damp carpets.
- Shrinkage due to poorly fitted carpets.
- Pre-existing damage (stains, burns, etc.) that cannot be removed using standard cleaning methods.
- Damage caused by placing furniture on damp carpets.
6. Insurance
- All work carried out by PolishMaids4You is covered by Public Liability Insurance.
- We aim to clean appliances to a high standard; however, we are not liable for ingrained dirt that cannot be removed due to lack of previous maintenance.
- Freezers must be defrosted in advance to ensure effective cleaning.
- Our Basic and Professional Gardening Services do not include waste removal unless previously agreed as a separate service.
7. Regular Domestic Cleaning
- Clients may pay after each visit via Standing Order or bank transfer (upon request).
- When paying by bank transfer, please include your name or property address in the reference field.
- Clients must provide basic cleaning equipment such as a vacuum cleaner, mop, and bucket.
- Regular appointments should be scheduled for the same day and time each week.
- To cancel a cleaning appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so will result in:
- A £50 non-refundable fee for bookings up to 3 hours.
- A full-service charge for appointments longer than 4 hours.
- A £50 non-refundable fee for bookings up to 3 hours.
- The minimum charge for regular service is £38 for up to 2 hours.
- The minimum charge for one-off services is £44 for up to 2 hours.
- Clients are responsible for ensuring timely access to the property.
- We recommend that clients provide a spare key to avoid missed appointments.
